Vanuatu approved the establishment of the first Blockchain Digital Stock Exchang

On September 6, local time in Vanuatu, the Vanuatu National Digital Stock Exchange held its opening ceremony in Port Vila, Vanuatu, capital of Vanuatu. The Exchange was formally approved on August 14, 2018, becoming the first digital stock exchange in the southern hemisphere to be approved by the relevant state government departments and having a legal securities trading license. The initiative also made Vanuatu one of the first countries in the world to establish a blockchain stock exchange.

The Vanuatu National Digital Stock Exchange provides investors with a unified digital securities trading channel that will allow qualified local and multinational companies to raise funds globally. The listing qualification and trading rules will be developed and published by the Vanuatu National Digital Stock Exchange Management Committee.


Licence and qualification


In February 2018, the Vanuatu government officially issued an approval to approve the application for the use of the name of the Vanuatu National Digital Stock Exchange and grant a license.




In August 2018, the main license and manager qualification of the Vanuatu National Digital Stock Exchange was officially approved. The Vanuatu National Digital Stock Exchange is the first digital stock exchange in the world to be legally licensed with the approval of relevant national government agencies.




Under the legal authority of the relevant authorities of the Vanuatu National Digital Stock Exchange, multiple sub-licenses may be issued based on the main license. Managers with experience in financial asset management may apply for a sub-license to the institution holding the main license by submitting information and review. And open digital exchanges in other cities or regions




As a strategic partner and government think tank of Vanuatu, the management team also participated in the construction of the Vanuatu National Digital Currency Institute to help the country develop digital currency research and obtain a government-issued license in February 2018.
